Hollywood Business & Professional Women (BPW) named Third District Supervisor, Zev Yaroslavsky, as their Man of Hollywood.
Marjory Hopper, president of the BPW, welcomed guests on Saturday, September 21st, at a special awards luncheon at the Loews Hollywood Hotel.
In the race to replace former Assemblyman Bob Blumenfield, Democrat Matt Dababneh and Republican Susan Shelley emerged as the top two vote-getters in a field of 11 on Sept. 17.
Join the City of Agoura Hills in the Medea Creek Clean-up event on Sat., Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to noon.

Plans are in the works for a major celebratory event on Nov. 17 to commemorate the successful battle to save the Upper Las Virgenes Canyon Open Space Preserve (formerly Ahmanson Ranch).

The Blueprint
The local general plan can be described as the city’s or county’s “blueprint” for future development. It represents the community’s view of its future; a constitution made up of the goals and policies upon which the city council, board of supervisors, and planning commission will base their land use decisions. To illustrate its importance, all subdivisions, public works projects, and zoning decisions (except in charter cities other than Los Angeles) must be consistent with the general plan. If inconsistent, they must not be approved.
