The National Park Service, California State Parks, Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, and the Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority are now officially kicking off preparation of the long-awaited Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area Interagency Trail Management Plan (TMP).
On Aug. 21 LVHF voted to support a rodenticide free Santa Monica Mountains. Stay tuned for our upcoming anti-rodenticide campaign. Don’t use rodent poisons! They kill more than rodents. The poison gets into the food chain and kills our wildlife and pets too.
There are three seats up for grabs in the upcoming Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD) Board elections. The seats are currently held by Board Members Lesli Stein, Dave Moorman and Gordon Whitehead.

The California Board of Forestry and Fire Protection released a proposal to target about 34 million acres (1/3rd of the entire state) to be burned, chewed-up, or sprayed with herbicides. This increases its habitat clearance program five times over current levels.
