Great news! Today, the House of Representatives passed  H.R. 2546 – Protecting America’s Wilderness Act. This legislation championed by Reps. Schiff, Carbajal, Chu, and Huffman will protect more than a million acres of public lands and more than 584 miles of rivers in California and includes the Northwest California, the Central Coast and the San Gabriel Mountains and Rim of the Valley bills.

The Federation has supported the Rim of the Valley Corridor – 196,000 acre expansion of the Santa Monica Mountains for more than a decade. Thank you again, Rep. Schiff and of course much appreciation to the National Park Service.
