LONG TIME SANTA MONICA MOUNTAIN ACTIVIST MARGOT FEUER DIES

With great sadness, the Las Virgenes Homeowners Federation reports that long time Santa Monica Mountain activist Margot Feuer has passed away. She was 89 years old. Margot was a true warrior leading a triumphant grassroots movement in the 1950s & 1960s to protect open spaces. Margot, along with Sue Nelson and Jill Swift is credited with galvanizing the movement that helped make the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area a reality in 1978.
